The map shows my Home Office. Further information on my other current, peripatetic clinic locations  is provided below. Clients are more than welcome from as far afield as they wish to travel – some travel from Essex, Gloucestershire, Isle of Wight, London  & Surrey – but only as long as their pet is not stressed by travel.

  • E-Consultations are available to Vets for dermatology cases throughout the UK
  • I have seen dermatology cases for over one hundred separate clinics in the South-East of England (not including branch surgeries within group practices) – some centres have referred over three hundred cases to me over the years.
  • I offer extended consultation periods, often ninety minutes duration, to encompass a complete discussion of the patient’s dermatological and general clinical history, including the response to previous treatments.

  • Having recently purchased our delightful new Cockapoo, following several visits to the vets, she was diagnosed with a multi-resistant ear infection which meant it would not respond to any treatment provided by the vet including 2 complete washouts & several types of ear cleaner & medication. This was clearly distressing our dog & us so our vet kindly referred us on to Charlie’s services. On meeting Charlie for the first time at his clinic, having already reviewed her previous clinical history prior to our consultation, he undertook a very thorough verbal & medical assessment of our dog to assess where the source of the problem possibly was. This included general history around diet & treatment provided so far, a microscopy wax smear & deep investigation of the ear canal using a camera that we were also able to view on his smart screen. Charlie explained the biology of the ear canal which made it understandable as to what was going on for our dog. From this Charlie was then able to make a diagnosis as to what was happening & tailor made a treatment plan with a full clinical report specifically for the diagnosis. We were sent away with detailed advisory sheets & written explanation of the diagnosis & treatment plan for us to refer to. It took a lot of commitment on our part to stick to the treatment regime (4 treatments a day) but after just 4 weeks we provided a bi-lateral wax smear test which Charlie processed (over a weekend) & we received the great news that the treatment plan had cleared up the ear infection. Based on this we were then provided with a revised regimen to maintain the condition of our dog’s ear health which we have continued to follow. Charlie has remained involved with Tiger’s progress & has always been at the end of an email for any questions or concerns that we’ve had, responding promptly. We have also had another meeting with Charlie as a follow-up & we know we can contact him should we need to. It takes commitment from owner & dog but Charlie’s input has been invaluable & we can’t thank him enough. We now are able to enjoy our dog so much more knowing that she is so much happier too. We would highly recommend Charlie’s involvement with your dog if you feel you have reached the limitations of your veterinary practice as Charlie has the depth of knowledge & experience plus technology to make a more in-depth assessment and diagnosis for treatment. …Thank you Charlie

Other Information

In the event that a complicated case requires input from other visiting specialists it is sometimes possible for me to coincide my consultation with them. For example, this may be necessary for Video-otoscopy for recalcitrant Otitis cases or Feline Internal Medicine cases (Elise Roberston BSc BVetMed MAVSc Dip ABVP, www.felinevet.net and https://endoscopyvetreferrals.co.uk/), Behavioural dermatoses (Trixie Howard VN DipCABT DipNut, www.trixiespetbehaviourandtraining.com) or even Dental diseases (Rachel Perry BSc BVM&S MAVSc MRCVS, https://perryreferrals.co.uk/ ).

Clients, please ask your vet to contact me in the first instance for a formal referral. I will need to see your pet at one of  the clinics listed above. except under exceptional circumstances. You will be seen at the Dermatology clinic nearest to your usual veterinary practice as an external referral whenever this is possible and appropriate for the case concerned.
